Dr Benjamin Ghansah is a Computer Scientist, with a passion for teaching and mentoring young people. He holds a BSc degree in Computer Science,  MSc Computer Science and a PhD Computer Science. Currently, he serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, DLIBT. He is also the Vice President, in-charge of Academics. Previously, he served as Academic Dean, Head, Department of Computer Science, and Faculty officer, Department of Computer Science, DLIBT. Dr Ghansah has worked as an adjunct lecturer in some prestigious universities both home and abroad; Jiangsu University, Sikkim Manipal University, University of Ghana, University of Education, Winneba, Valley View University, Central University, Ghana Technological University College and BlueCrest University College. He also served as an assessor for the computer science department, University of Cape Coast.

Dr Ghansah has for the past 12 years been teaching and conducting research in federated search, information retrieval, information security and machine learning. He has over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and also a reviewer for a number of journals.
