Biography
Joseph Sarpong Konadu who hails from Agona-Asamang in the Ashanti Region was born to Mr. Isaiah Tawiah Mensah and Mrs Hannah Boatemaa (Deceased) popularly known as Ama Tomo started his kindergarten and primary school at Adventist Preparatory School, Amakom-Kumasi and ended his Junior Secondary School at Tweneboah Kodua Internation school at Abuakwa-Kumasi. Having come out with ‘eight ones’ in the BECE in 1997, he went to Bekwai S.D.A Secondary to pursue Agric Science. With his extraordinary interest in accountability and finance, he diverted to study BBA Accounting at Valley View University and achieved a first class honours degree in his area of specialization in 2005. He continued his national service at the National Service Scheme, Regional Office, in Kumasi, where he worked for 4 years. In 2007, he enrolled in master’s program at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Over there he pursued MBA in Accounting and graduated in 2009 as a first class student per the School of Business requirement and as an ‘A’ student per graduate school requirement. Before his graduation ceremony in November, 2009, he got the appointment to lecture at Datalink University College in Tema and switched job in 2011 to Valley View University. He has worked at Valley View University till date and has taught almost all the accounting courses in the Department of Accounting. He was appointed as the Head of the Department of Accounting in May 2016 and has occupied the position till date. Currently he doing his PhD in Accounting and Finance with Adventist University of Philippines.
