2.Biography
Kofi Sarpong Adu-Manu was born in Accra, Ghana. He received the BSc degree in Computer Science from the Valley View University, Oyibi-Accra, Ghana, in 2007, and MPhil in Computer Science degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUS), Kumasi, Ghana, in 2013. Currently, he is pursuing PhD degree in Computer Science at the University of Ghana, Accra. In 2008, he joined the Department of Computer Science, Valley View University, as a Teaching Assistant, and in 2010 became a Senior Research Assistant. Since September 2013, has been with the same as a Lecturer. He was also an Adjunct Lecturer at Knutsford University College and Radford University College, East Legon-Accra.
His current research interests include Wireless Sensor Networks for environmental monitoring applications, Cloud computing, Applications of IT in Education and Society, Data Warehousing and Data cleansing, and Programming. Kofi is a student member of IEEE and serves as a Board Member of the Clute Institute Board. He was one of the recipient of University of Rochester (UR) PhD scholarship award in 2015 ($23,000) to study in UR for 10-months. He is also one of the University of Oldenburg and University of Ghana partnership project known as the DEMIS mobility programme researcher. Apart from his research activities, he is also currently serving as the Hall Dean of the M.A. Bediako Hall, Valley View University since 2016.
