Associate Chaplain (Kumasi Campus)

Valley View University invites applications from qualified individuals within the University community for the position of Associate Chaplain at the University’s Kumasi Campus.

 

Position Summary

 

The Associate Chaplain shall oversee spiritual life and development activities at the Kumasi Campus and ensure the implementation of the University’s chaplaincy mission and spiritual life approach.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

The Associate Chaplain shall:

• Be responsible to the Dean of Spiritual Life and Development and work under the directives of the Rector.

• Organize and facilitate Bible studies, spiritual discipleship, counseling, evangelism, and other faith-based programs.

• Lead prayer sessions, pastoral counseling, worship services, and community outreach activities.

• Work closely with the Dean of Spiritual Life and Development to develop strategies for spiritual growth and engagement at the Kumasi Campus.

 

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

 

• Must be an ordained Minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

• Must hold at least a first degree in Theological studies.

• Must possess strong leadership, counseling, communication, and organizational skills.

• Must have experience in pastoral ministry, evangelism, and spiritual mentorship.

• Should not be more than 50 years at the time of entry subject to medical fitness.

• He should have at least five (5) years of ministerial experience.

• He must have an experience as a chaplain in an Adventist Institution not less than one year.

• He should show evidence of academic improvement to the Master's level and graduate not more than three years.
