Valley View University Cuts Sod for The Construction of an Src Office Complex

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Daniel K. Bediako, on Thursday, August 6, 2020, performed the sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of an SRC building complex at Valley View University, Oyibi campus in the Greater Accra Region.
The SRC building complex, to be jointly sponsored by the SRC and VVU Alumni, is a two-storey Office Block for SRC-VVU, provision of space for Conference rooms for SRC members, Alumni relations, JCR, Mini-shops and a courtyard for general assembly.
The building complex is expected to be completed in three years at an estimated value of GH¢ 1,000,000.00
The Contract type is manpower only. The WPDD shall oversee the technical supervision and management of the project whilst the SRC takes charge of the procurement of project materials and other needs.
Speaking at the programme, Prof. Daniel K. Bediako congratulated and encouraged the SRC to work hard to ensure that their dreams become a reality. He then prayed for the blessings of the Holy Spirit to guide them in the execution of this worthy project.
The Dean of Advancement, Pr. Dr. I. B. Boateng who is responsible for the physical development of the University, among others, congratulated the outgoing SRC Executives for their role in the processes that had led to the sod-cutting ceremony of the project.  He also urged the in-coming SRC Executives to endeavor to raise funds aside their regular dues in order to complete the building project in good time.
In his response, the out-going SRC President, Albert Adaare Jnr, expressed profound gratitude to the Vice Chancellor, the Dean of Students and the Dean of Advancement for expediting the development that has cumulated in his participation of this memorable ceremony.  According to Albert Adaare Jnr., the dream of the SRC building project which was conceived by the Executives of the VVU SRC about four years ago has finally come true with a sod-cutting ceremony.
The brief and impressive programme ended with a benediction by the Dean of students, Pr. Dr. E. H. Takyi at 11: 40 am.
