Media Foundation of West Africa Donates to VVU

The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) has donated textsbooks to the Department of Communication Studies of Valley View University. The books cover areas such as the Right to Freedom of Expression, Media and Elections, Safety of Journalists, Right to Information, Legal Frameworks on the work of the Media in West Africa as well as other related areas.

 

The presentation event took place at the Head Office of the Foundation at East Legon. VVU was represented by the Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), Dr. Michael Amponsah Kodom and the Registrar of the University, Mr. Albert Imbrah.

The books were presented by the Director for the MFWA, Mr. Sulemana Braimah. He noted that the book donation was in line with MFWA’s commitment to contribute to the education of students in the fields of journalism, communications and human rights.

Valley View University qualified as a recipient of the donation because it is part of the institutions in Ghana that offer courses in media, communications, human rights and related fields.

Valley View University is grateful to MFWA for the kind gesture.
