Kumasi Campus Benefits from Philanthropy

Kumasi Campus has received a donation of nursing skills laboratory  equipments from a philanthropist based in the United States of America, Mr. Felix Antwi  for its Nursing Department. The equipments included  items such as mannequins, human torso, nursing books, etc.

 

In a brief ceremony organized on the Campus on Tuesday August 10, 2021 to receive the donations, Mr. Felix Antwi indicated that Kumasi Campus was chosen because in  the considered opinion of the family it needed those equipments the most. The donation was also to honour the memory of the passing away of his beloved wife.

 

Present to receive and witness the donation from Mr. Felix Antwi and his family were Dr William Peprah (Chief Finance Officer), Ps. Dr. I. B. Boateng (Dean of Advancement), Dr. Winfred Ofoe Larkotey (Rector, Kumasi Campus), Ps. Annor Boafo (Dean Advancement and Student Life, Kumasi Campus), Mad. Adwoa Ansah-Adu(Coordinator, Nursing Department, Kumasi Campus) , Mad. Eunice Frimpong(Principal Administrative Assistant) and Miss Jemima Oppong Afriyie  (Coordinator Nursing Department, Kumasi Campus).

 

In a brief response on behalf of the  Campus Management Committee (CMC), the Rector of the Campus expressed immense  gratitude for the timeliness of the donations from Mr. Felix Antwi and his family to the department. The CMC promised to take good care of all the items donated and to put them to good use. Also, they agreed to Mr. Felix Antwi's intention to adopt the nursing skills laboratory. The CMC also hintered on their intention to name the lab after the late Mrs Antwi.
