USAID Holds Grant Proposal Development Workshop at VVU

As part of its capacity-building efforts under the Feed the Future programme, an initiative of the United States Government’s Global Hunger and Food Security, the USAID is organizing a grant proposal workshop for Valley View University faculty.

The workshop which takes place between September 21 and 23 will cover areas such as Understanding Research Grant Proposal; Developing Research Grant Proposal and Work Planning and Timelines. The Workshop will end with a special session on Grant Award Negotiation and Grant Management.

The workshop will be facilitated by experts in the field of grant proposal writing. The expert presentations will set the tone for collaborations between participants. The workshop will also provide the opportunity for participants to review their proposals with their peers.

Facilitators for the workshop include Dr David S, Ameyaw of International Centre for Evaluation and Development, Tara Lyn Chiu of University of California and Prof. Michael Carter also of University of California.

Other Collaborators in the project include the International Centre for Evaluation and Development and Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Markets, Risk and Resilience.
