KNUST Honours Former VVU Vice-Chancellor Professor Daniel Buor

To God be the glory.

The University community of Valley View University is proud to celebrate a remarkable honour bestowed on one of its distinguished former leaders, Professor Daniel Buor, who served as Vice-Chancellor of the University from 2010 to 2015.

Last week, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) recognised and immortalised Professor Buor by naming a major stretch of road on its campus after him. This honour was conferred in recognition of his meritorious service, dedication, and outstanding contributions to the University, to Ghana, and to the global academic community.

This recognition is particularly significant given the rich history of KNUST. Established in 1952, the University has nurtured and worked with thousands of professors over the decades. Today alone, it boasts over 300 professors. Yet, Professor Buor has been selected among a distinguished few to receive this rare honour—an indication of the lasting impact of his work and the high esteem in which he is held.

At Valley View University, we remember Professor Buor not only for his leadership as Vice-Chancellor but also for his commitment to academic excellence, institutional development, and service. His legacy continues to inspire our community.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Professor Buor on this well-deserved recognition. His achievement brings pride not only to KNUST but also to the entire Valley View University family.
