Professor William Kofi Koomson, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, congratulated and admonished the graduates not to succumb to circumstances and societal pressures to cut short their dreams but to be determined and turn challenges into opportunities.

The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Honourable Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the Guest Speaker for the occasion, called on the graduates to explore and use the knowledge acquired to create more opportunities and be innovative to benefit society. Honourable Agyapong pledged to adopt the University’s Agriculture Department and make it a well-stocked Department with modern equipment while supporting VVU to establish an Agricultural Engineering School. The astute politician promised to donate two tractors to the Department within the first quarter of the year 2024. He said this will serve as a springboard to push forth his vision to create opportunities for the youth in the agriculture value chain.
