VVU Makes Donation to Chiefs and People of Oyibi in Support of Homowo Festival

Valley View University (VVU) on Friday, September 29 2023 made a donation to the Chiefs and people of the Oyibi Community in support of this year’s Homowo Festival. Items donated included cartons of water and drinks, loaves of bread, and cash. 

 

Presenting the items on behalf of the University, Mr Alex Appiah Asare, leader of the team indicated that as tenants on the Oyibi land, it was appropriate for VVU to join the community in celebrating the festival, aimed at promoting peace and development. He reiterated the continual support of VVU in developing the Community.

 

Receiving the items on behalf of the Palace, Nii Doku Manklalo and Naa Borkor Blanye thanked the University for the gesture. They expressed their appreciation for the University’s contribution to developing the Oyibi community and requested that the friendship existing between the University and the community should continue. 

 

The University’s team included, Mrs Harriet Abigail Narkie Asare, Mr Julius Dadzie, and Pastor Daniel Okoe, who offered a prayer for the palace.
