The competition was inspired by the Swedish MNE IKEA which was facing a scaling-up problem in social entrepreneurship. The company, therefore, approached Owusu`s school and threw the challenge to them in the form of a competition in order to find a solution.

The competition was keenly contested among 15 different teams, however, the proposition from Owusu`s team,  `IKEA`s NEST` was adjudged the best. NEST is an abbreviated form of “Nurturing Entrepreneurial Spirit for Tomorrow”- a digital platform that would connect untapped potential social businesses from vulnerable and marginalized communities all over the world with IKEA giving them access to education and training in social entrepreneurship in addition to a chance to submit their business for a yearly competition to become a potential supplier for IKEA- Sweden.

Raphael attributes his success to the kind of education he received from Valley View University and dedicates his achievement to his alma mater.
