Professor Ninon Amertil, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Valley View University (VVU) met with Dr and Mrs Adu-Febiri based in Canada on June 6 2023 to thank the couple for donating assorted books to the University to enhance academic work.
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor was very appreciative of the gesture and stated that the University was working on adding Physician Assistantship and Pharmacy to its range of medical-related programmes. Therefore, the books had come at the right time and would greatly benefit the institution’s vision. She added that the University was poised to compete globally with donations and support from friends of the institution like Dr and Mrs Adu-Febiri.
Mr Albert Imbrah, Registrar of the University, commented that the University had initiated plans to venture into the medical sciences and emphasised that the humanities would not be relegated to the background but improved upon to make the programs even more relevant in the competitive environment VVU finds itself.
Dr and Mrs Adu-Febiri, on their part, expressed their joy in associating with VVU and promised to keep a healthy relationship with the University.
Present at the program were the Dean of Students Life & Services, Dr (Mrs) Martha Duah, Finance Officer, Mr James Owusu, Head of the Department of Mathematics, Mrs Olivia Atta Kora, Deputy Registrar for General Administration, Mr Alex Appiah Asare, and the University Librarian, Pastor Charles Amoah.
