A delegation from Valley View University (VVU) has paid a courtesy call on the Former President, H.E. John Agyekum Kufuor, at his private residency in Accra on Wednesday, 26th September 2018.
The visit was to inform him about VVU’s intention to collaborate with the John Kufuor Foundation for Leadership, Governance, and Development in order to assist in raising funds for the various developmental projects of the Foundation, and to celebrate his upcoming 80th birthday with him in December 2018.
Mr. Kufuor who could not hide his feelings expressed contentment at the visit and indicated that the objective of the foundation is to invest his wealth of experience as a public servant in the African youth. He, therefore, explained that the establishment of the Foundation was informed by his desire to equip the current generation with leadership skills.
The University’s delegation was led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Daniel Kwame Bediako. In attendance were the other Principal Officers, Staff, Symphonials – Ghana of VVU and members of the John Kufuor Foundation including the Chief Executive Officer, Prof Baffour Agyeman-Duah.
The University presented gift items to Mr. Kufuor for dedicating his life to the service of Ghana.
