A short but colorful ceremony has been held to induct Dr. Martha Duah into the office of Dean of Student Life and Services by the Vice Chancellor of Valley View University, Prof. Daniel Kwame Bediako.
On the 13th of December, 2020, the University was represented at the National Inter-school debate competition organized by the Africa People's Liberation Movement. The event which took place at the University of Ghana had four universities in attendance. They were Valley View University, University of Ghana, Wisconsin College and University of Professional Studies (UPSA).
Welcome to 2021! Indeed, contrary to predictions and expectations, scientific and prophetic, 2020 was a difficult year in several respects. The colours of this year were undesirably gloomy, fear and death almost replacing faith and hope. And we are yet to be rescued from the ravages of the pandemic.
The Valley View University has begun worshipping in the New Chapel which has been under construction for some time now. Hitherto, the main services have been held at the Seth Laryea Multi-Purpose Centre.

Valley View University, Ghana’s primer private and chartered university has held its 26th Congregation under the theme, “Empowered to Confront Global Challenges through Innovation, Integrity and Selfless Service. The maiden virtual ceremony witnessed the conferment of various degrees, diplomas and awards on some 2241 undergraduate and graduate students drawn from the University’s 3 campuses.
The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia paid a courtesy call on faculty, staff and students of Valley View University at Oyibi on Thursday, October 1, 2020.

Dr. Martin Akotey, a Senior Lecturer and HOD, Development Studies, Valley View University for authoring a book entitled “A study of Ghana's Decentralisation, Local Governance and Accountability”.
The book which has been reviewed by three Professors and proofread was born out of the rich experience of Dr. Akotey, a consultant, development and governance specialist.
