The J.J. Nortey Hall has the quest to provide platforms for its Hallers and members of the VVU community in general to harness their potentials and to acquaint themselves with current trends in leadership, management, entrepreneurship and other important areas of life. It, therefore, on March 23, 2023 organized a well attended Seminar by a cross section of the university. It was dubbed, MOVE meaning Men Of Vision Empowerment which was the maiden edition.
The facilitator, Mr Franklin Owusu-Karikari Director of Business Support & Policy - NEIP effectively addressed the audience on the theme, "Leading Change at the Global Front: The Role of the Young African Entrepreneur." He made it clear that the young African especially has a role to play in developing their nations and by that influence the world through their creativity, innovation, and adopting to the future of work. He emphasized that the way to go is not seeking employment but developing his/her entrepreneurial skills to become an employer rather than being employed.
In attendance were the Vice Chancellor of VVU in the person of Prof William Koomson, the Dean of Student Life and Services, Dr. Martha Duah; various Hall Deans and several other faculty and staff of the university.
