The Valley View University is actuated to be a center of excellence for Christian Education. As part of its aims and objectives to prepare leaders for service to God and humanity by harnessing the potentials of its students, VVU is organizing Student Leadership Seminar for its Students' Representative Council (SRC) for the 2023/2024 Academic Year.
This seminar involves about hundred (100) student leaders from the various campuses of the University. This year's seminar is themed, "Leadership that Counts: Leading Contemporaries” under the auspices of the Dean of Students, Dr Martha O. Duah and the Student Life and Services Department. The Seminar is scheduled for August 28 to September 1, 2023.
This year's leadership seminar will be facilitated by two important leadership experts, Dr Pascal Brenya and Dr Edward Okyere. Among others, Dr Pascal Brenya is a Global Human Capital Expert, Executive and Youth Coach, Corporate Wellness and Health Consultant, Training and Capacity Development Expert, Enterprise Development and Growth Mentor. He is the CEO of Focus Central Ghana Ltd, Consultant and Coordinator for John A. Kufuor Foundation as well as Kufuor Scholars Program respectively. He is Assessor of Rhodes scholarship for West Africa and Lead Facilitator for YALI Africa, USAID, IAA, GIMPA, MasterCard, Rhodes West Africa etc.
Pascal is a former HR and Training Consultant for FAO-United Nations & British Council. He is a qualified and Professional Human Resource Practitioner from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development and Chartered Institute of Career and Guidance. He is a Lifetime Member of the Millennium Awards Fellowship UK, with prestigious award for outstanding contribution to life in London-Londoners for London 2002 and British Council (UK) Youth Award winner in 2001.
Pascal holds Ph.D in Human Resources Management, MPhil in Occupational Psychology, MBA in International Marketing and BBA in Accounting and Finance from the United Kingdom.
Dr Edward Okyere is also a Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Scienceand Technology (KNUST) in the Department of Human Resource and Organizational Development. He holds BA, MBA, MPhil degrees and his PhD degree in Organizational Leadership. He is a known leadership facilitator and practitioner. Edward is, therefore,
passionate about engaging prospective organizations, groups, leaders and managers in discussing, teaching and learning pragmatic philosophies of
leadership. Edward is currently the Executive Director of Ullest Ltd, an organization that uses
technology to support student life in Ghana.
They both come with expertise and high reputation of leading very high profiled leadership training seminars and conferences. This year's SRC Leadership Seminar promises to be an impactful moment which will propel the SRC leadership to excel in their endeavors in the course of the 2023/24 Academic Year.
