Peter Agyekum Boateng obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree (BA, Religion and Business Administration) in 1995, from Andrews University, US. In 2001, he graduated with a Master of Business Administration (Maetría en Administration de Empresas) from Universidad de Montemorelos, Monterrey, Mexico, then joined Valley View University in August 2006. In 2013 he was promoted to the rank of a Senior Lecturer, and in 2014 obtained his terminal degree (PhD in Business Administration) from Babcock University, Nigeria. He is currently an Associate Professor of Business Administration (Strategic Management).

Over the years, he has served within the institution as Male Hall Dean at Oyibi campus (2009), concurrently as Ag. Rector for Kumasi Campus, and Graduate Programs Coordinator at Techiman Campus on October 2014. He worked as Dean, School of Graduate Studies, Oyibi campus, in January 2016. He currently has been the Rector for Techiman Campus, since July 2016.

Peter is married to Comfort Agyekum Boateng (Comfort Asiamah), and blessed with three (3) daughters - Susana, Josefina, and Comfort.

He is a footballer, songwriter, singer, and enjoys quiet moments.
