It's that time of the year again!
That time of the year is different for everyone, every organization.
For some, it's a time to be married, have fun and make merry, rest and take vacations, do some checks and balances.
But for VVU and its students, it's the convocation of their 27th graduating class (what an achievement!) 27 years of training and raising well-rounded individuals who will be upstanding citizens of the society. Up VVU!
Come with me as I take you to the graduation ceremony happening in Oyibi Campus-the mother campus of VVU.
The campus and everyone in it are beaming with excitement and bustling with activities. The bright white paint and greenery that showcases VVU's excellence and eco-friendly environment shines forth, the photoshoot and photographer stands, the parents, friends, well-wishers and loved ones all well-dressed because of course it's a huge occasion, I mean what could be better than graduating after 4 years from VVU?
Beautiful, handsome and happy looking graduates
The event was held at the Seth Laryea Multi-purpose center, filled to the brim with graduating students, Lecturers, principal officers, the Heads of Faculty, and VIPs at the high table, which shows you they mean business.

Enjoying our trip together so far? I know you are!
Let's make a stop and acknowledge the presence of the well-suited and awesome Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, who gave up his morning and very important schedule to spend those hours with the graduands. What an honor! What a man! What a school!
The minister, in his speech, reminded the graduands, paraphrased: that the last few years of study as students of Valley View University were for the preparation of the life they'll face out there. He charged them to operate with excellence, integrity, and service in whatever it is they're doing and he finally challenged graduands to go be the trail blazers we've been waiting for. It will not be easy, but if you keep at it, you'll be amongst the millionaires and the renowned whose names we will remember, he said.
I don't know about you but I'm taking that speech to heart and practice because it's exactly what every young person needs to keep in mind in this time of our lives and you should too.

Now to the special and exclusive part of the carriage taking us on this journey, the first-class cabin. Yes, I'm speaking of the first-class students.
The first-class students had their moment. You forgot those existed? First-class is still a thing and VVU students still work to get it. And VVU awarded them. In a world that celebrates foolishness, VVU celebrates education, excellence, studiousness, hard work, diligence, and FIRST CLASS. Way to go VVU!
The top graduating students been awarded
One of those first-class students, of B. Ed education in English, Sandra Ottubea Agyei, in her speech charged her fellow graduands to be 'opportunity-seeking game changers'. What a charge? She spoke with articulation, clarity, elocution, confidence, power, and intelligence. Well, I'm not surprised, she did graduate with a first-class in English so why not?

There's no doubt as to how great and amazing they will all be and this charge actually should be for every young person in the world.

Now, let's take a break and join Ama Kakari as she inducts the new graduates to the VVU Alumni Association. What an honor! I felt a gush of excitement. It's like that once-in-a-lifetime moment when a new president-elect is sworn into power, it's like having your name and face in the hall of fame, it's like being praised in front of your colleagues about how exceptional you are, it's a lot of feels.
If you haven't been to VVU you may not understand which you should, like immediately, come to VVU. One minute you're tested in the fire, overwhelmed with the pressure, the next minute you're inducted to the prestigious and highly coveted hall of fame, oh, sorry VVU alumni association (the same thing, just that VVU's even better, prove me wrong, I'll wait).
It is worth it. So very much.
